Printrun of “Tovarishch” newspaper detained at Belarusian-Russian border
Driving inspectors have detained the fifth printrun of the “Tovarishch” newspaper at the Russian-Belarusian border. A member of the central committee of the Belarusian Party of the left “Fair World” Dzmitry Yanenka has informed BelaPAN about it. According to him, the car that was transporting the rpintrun was stopped by driving inspectors as soon as it crossed the border. They examined the automobile, found the newspaper, talked to somebody on the phone and ordered the driver to head for Dubrouna District Department of the Interior (Vitsebsk Province). The reason for the detention was not announced. Yanenka noted that the carriers had all the necessary documents for both the newspaper and the car.
