Putin's aide: In response to sanctions we'll ban import of cars and clothes
Andrey Belousov thinks embargo is possible, but hopes that "common sense will prevail" and "antisanctions" will not be needed.
As you know, on September 12 the new EU sanctions against Russia in response to its actions in Ukraine will come into effect. This time the sanctions are directed against the large Russian oil companies, which will have their access to international capital markets limited.
According to the newspaper Vedomosti, Russian president's aide Andrei Belousov said that the Russian Economic Development Ministry has already prepared a list of goods that may be prohibited. According to Belousov, it is car imports from the EU, as well as the supply of certain products of light industry, whose production has allegedly been mastered in Russia.
