Deputy trade minister: No tomatoes? Eat cucumbers
The Belarus deputy trade minister advises eating cucumbers, buy public transport tickets and check other shops, if they cannot find tomatoes in shops.
Journalists asked the deputy Minister why there were no tomatoes in shops and when the problem would be solved.
Iryna Narkevich advised eating cucumbers or visiting other shops:
"Eat cucumbers… Minsk has so much public transport that you can buy a ticket that does not even cost much and but tomatoes in some other part of the city. Of course, everyone would like to have all the needed products in shops situated not far from home. Do you eat tomatoes every day? You can find tomatoes in other shops if you really need them now. Visit another shop on your way home.”
