Regional administration assaulted in Chernovtsy
Protesters have entered the regional administration building in Sumy.
About 500 people have gathered near Cherkasy administration, censor.net.ua reports. The front door was closed. Journalists and deputies tried using the side door but no one was allowed to enter.
Most of the protesters are men wearing masks or scarves. The protesters broke the side door and a few windows. The glass in the central door was also smashed. The administration’s doorplate was removed. The crowd threw away the police shields that covered the front door.
About 100 soldiers and Berkut fighters are waiting in the hall. The protesters who managed to get there are trying to take away their shields. The police are using tear gas in response.
