EP President urges to release Byalyatski and other political prisoners
Jerzy Buzek has stated that he condemns the sentence to Ales Byalyatski.
According to his words reported by Radio Liberty, the European Parliament is deeply concerned with unfair persecution and imprisonment of Ales Byalyatski for alleged tax evasion. The European Parliament considers the accusations against Ales Byalyatski politically motivated and not grounded.
Buzek urged the Belarusian authorities to release Ales Byalyatski and other political prisoners immediately and unconditionally, and to withdraw all accusations against them.
