First "live" exhibition opens in Brest (photo)
Collectives of the Brest Drama Theatre and the DramRockStudio presented a creative performance on October 22.
The art-project "At Both Sides of a
Mask" combined several art trends at a time - an inter-active photo
exhibition, an art gallery and a theatrical performance.
One of the authors Henadz Vyal has told Euroradio about the idea of
the "live" exhibition:
Henadz
Vyal: "It
all started from my desire to create a portrait of one of the theatre's
actresses - Iryna Pashechka. However, when we met she suggested a wider specter
- cooperation with the actors. So, it all started from this image thanks to the
initiative of the young".
The action took
place in the center for art development "Mayak", recently opened
after restoration. More than 50 people came to see the performance despite the
limited space.
According to the
organizers, the collective is satisfied with the creative experiment's results:
the "mask" found its audience, so they are going to hold similar
performances in Brest further on.
