Homel students present ecological clothes made of garbage (photo)
"Eco-Fashion-2011" festival was held in the Homel state technical university named after Sukhi for the second time.
All presented models were designed under the leadership of the university's employee Alena Davydzenka and made by the students practically of garbage. According to Mrs. Alena, the aim of the festival is ecological education of the youth, as well as turning the society's attention to the issue of domestic garbage's utilization and careful attitude to the environment.
This was an unusual fashion defile in the form of a one-hour theatrical performance. The organizers presented clothes collections and interior items which got the second life after reconstruction and also outfits made of industrial and domestic waste.
Apart from the clothes show, winners of various ecological contests organized by the university's administration were awarded with diplomas and gifts at the event.
