Human rights activist Tatstsyana Ravyaka summoned by KGB

A hidden subscriber phoned her, said that he was a KGB member captain Rubinau and asked her to meet him.

Ravyaka: "They said that they wanted to summon me. I replied: any man can phone and say that he is from KGB. But it does not mean that I will believe it and come to meet him so easily. They said that they would send a subpoena to me. They asked me if I were in the office of "Viasna". I said that I was in the office of "Viasna", at work. I wondered why they wanted to summon me. They said that I would find everything out when they come to me".

The human rights defender replied that she would come with her lawyer.

Ravyaka thinks that the invitation is connected with her human rights activities. She is worried about the fact that the special services are tracking her phone number and her whereabouts.

The subpoena delivered by KGB members informs that Ravyaka will be summoned "as a person aware of circumstances important for national security of the Republic of Belarus".
