Investigation of blast may be completed within two months
General public prosecutor of Belarus Ryhor Vasilevich said this to the journalists on April 15.
General public prosecutor has noted that the investigation managed to solve the crime committed in Minsk metro basing on the case of the July 3-4, 2008 blast in Minsk, the First TV-Channel informs.
According to Vasilevich, more than 2 million people were fingerprinted then. However, the fingerprints of the main suspect in this case were not in the database. If they were there, the terrorist act of April 11 could have been prevented, as his fingerprints were on the second explosive device which hadn't worked in 2008, BelaPAN informs.
Now dactyloscopy makes it possible for the investigation to connect the blast in Minsk in 2008 and the terrorist act in metro on April 11, 2011.
"Everything but confession shows that this person committed that blast in 2008", — the General public prosecutor explains.
