Lithuania refuses to take part in Lukashenka’s “round table discussion”
Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis has claimed it.
Having met his Finnish counterpart in Helsinki, Ažubalis noted that nobody would take part in the round table negotiations until political prisoners were released, report information agencies. Catherine Ashton, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, laid down the terms earlier. Let us remind you that Alyaksandr Lukashenka suggested that representatives of the opposition, the EU and Russia took part in “a round table discussion” last Monday. Both the opposition and the EU stipulated on the release of political prisoners. The Kremlin has not reacted to the suggestion of the Belarusian President yet.
