Lithuanian MFA suggests free visas for Belarusians
These will be national Lithuanian visas.
According to BelaPAN, Lithuanian diplomats have already filed the draft bill to the government. It prescribes total refusal from paid visas. In the opinion of the draft's authors, this measure will "facilitate processes of democratization, and strengthen the civil society in Belarus". Lithuanian government will take the final decision.
The national Lithuanian visa now costs 60 EUR.
Poland and Latvia provided Belarusians free national visas before.
