Sentence to Bandarenka is left unchanged
Minsk City Court has considered the political prisoner's appeal.
The judges satisfied the lawyer's request to attach a characteristic profile and a medical certificate to the case. However, they left the sentence in force, reports "Radio Liberty".
In the end of April, the court considered the presidential candidate Andrej Sannikau's representative Zmitser Bandarenka guilty of organization of actions which severely violate public order, and active participation thereof. He was sentenced to two years of imprisonment in a minimum-security correctional institution.
He was arrested last December and kept in custody since then, and his chronicle diseases got worse. In June, Bandarenka's health condition deteriorated and he was transferred to a medical unit.
