Reports: Minsk wants to limit broadcasting of Belsat
The Belarusian authorities are ready to add a Polish channel to its cable networks if Poland limits the broadcasting of Belsat, Radio Liberty refers to Nasz Dziennik (a newspaper close to the party Law and Justice).
Two TV channels are being considered now – TVP Polonia or the Polish civil channel TVP1 without foreign films (TVP Info may be broadcast instead of them).
The pressure started a few weeks ago, director of Belsat Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy said. An article was published in SB. Belarus Today at first and Nasz Dziennik has reported new rumours now.
