Riot police raid Viasna office
The office of the unregistered human rights center Viasna has been raided by the riot police force, rights activist Siahei Sys wrote on Facebook.
Viasna is a prominent human rights organization that monitors rights violations and provides assistance to the victims of repressions.
The opposition plans to stage a rally in Minsk today to mark Freedom Day. Despite the ban, there are calls for people to gather at Academy of Sciences and move to the city center.
The rally was authorized at a remote Bangalor Square at 1200 but nobody showed up there.
