Ruling party wins Armenian elections
The ruling Republican Party headed by Armenia's Prime Minister Serge Sarkisyan has won the parliamentary elections.
33.8 percent of those that came to the polls voted for this party.
Apart from the Republicans, two pro-government parties -- Florishing Armenia (15.1 percent) and Dashnaktsuciun (13.2 percent) -- and two opposition parties "Orynats Erkir" (7 percent) and Heritage (6 percent) made it to the parliament.
The OSCE observed the vote and said it was in line with international democratic standards.
He noted that the poll became "a serious step forward compared with all the previous elections".
But the Armenian opposition said they recorded numerous violations during the poll, reports the Russian news agency RIA-Novosti.
