Rumas: Triple Co. suspends investments in national stadium construction
The construction of the National Stadium remains under question, head of Belarusian Football Federation Siarhei Rumas.
"There is an effective edict of the president. It means the construction of the national stadium remains on agenda. However, one has to take into account the situation with Triple Co., which had a huge share of financial investments into this project. This company has suspended all major investment projects," Pressball reports quoting Rumas as saying.
The Football Federation head says his agency works together with the Minsk City Administration to find the way of this situation. According to Rumas, the Chinese partner has fullfilled almost all conditions of the contract. Now it is Belarus that has to meet the remaining conditions.
Triple Co owner Yury Czyzh remains behind bars on charges of major tax evasion. According to unofficial reports, other Triple Co. top managers were detained together with Chyzh.
