Russia calls Riga Summit 'anti-Russian'
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said so on Friday.
On April 24, Russia made a tough statement on the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga, scheduled for May 21-22. Speaking at a press briefing, Russian Federation Foreign Ministry spokesman, Alexander Lukashevich, said that the event is "clearly anti-Russian."
"We, of course, will be watching the summit in Riga, but it is already clear that our response will be tough," RIA Novosti quoted Lukashevich.
The Riga summit will be attended by Belarus. It is still unknown, who will represent our country. The Latvian side does not rule out that Alyaksandr Lukashenka will get the invitation. Recently, the president of Belarus repeatedly noted the improvement of relations with the EU.
