Russia is ready to allocate additional rouble credit to Belarus

Russia is ready to allocate an additional credit of several dozen billion roubles to Belarus. The assistant of the Russian President Sergei Prihodko claimed it to journalists after the meeting of the Higher Council of the Union state in Moscow on February 3.
According to him, the sum of the credit has not been defined yet. However, the agreement has already been reached and the central banks and governments of the two countries will present their conclusions concerning the request of the Belarusian government within two weeks.

Answering the questions whether Russia was ready to consider the allocation of a new credit, Prihodko noted that the Higher Council had agreed to do it. Both the Russian President and the Prime Minister approved of the idea. The only issues to be discussed are the terms and the usage of the credit.

According to S.Prihodko, the Higher State Council approved of the anti-crisis plan of mutual actions of the two countries. The plan contains some measures needed to increase the usage of the Russian rouble in mutual settlement of accounts.
