Russian FM: Colour revolution is impossible in Belarus
There can be no ‘colour revolution’ in Belarus because most Belarusians would not support it, Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov told the Italian magazine Limes. Attempts ‘to undermine the political situation in Belarus’ are unlikely to be supported by the inhabitants of the country, he said. The results of the presidential election in Belarus in 2015 testify to it, the Minister noted. Belarusians ‘supported political stability and the strengthening of relations with Russia’, Lavrov noted.
“Any export of revolutions (be they communist, political or democratic) does huge damage to the people that become the objects of such experimens”, the Russian Minister claimed in the interview.
