Russian journalist wounded by grenade in Kiev
Russian REN TV reporter Stanislav Grigoriyev is in hospital now. An open leg fracture is suspected.
He was wounded by a flash-bang grenade blast. The journalist was making a report for the programme News 24.
Grigoriyev was between the riot police and protesters at the moment of the incident, UNIAN reports. “I think I would have lost my leg if it had been a real grenade,” the Russian journalist said.
About three dozen journalists were injured during the recent events in Kiev. It happened after the police started using rubber bullets and flash-bang grenades.
