Russian photo reporter Andrei Stenin died near Donetsk
It happened about a month ago. The search for the reporter continued until now.
Photo reporter Andrei Stenin from Russia Today news agency died near Donetsk in early August, RIA Novosti reports. His car was attacked and burnt down on a highway, the agency CEO Dmitri Kiselyov said referring forensic experts from the Russian Investigation Committee.
"Our colleague, photo reporter Andrei Stenin is dead. He was not captured. Nobody was going to exchange him for Ukrainian soldiers or accuse him of terrorism,” Kiselyov claimed. Earlier, Ukraine did not rule out that Stenin could be in captivity (some people suggested an exchange) but it was not true, he said.
The Russian police are accusing Ukrainian soldiers of the reporter’s death.
Andrei Stenin was 33. His photos from Donets Basin ‘hot spots’ were published all over the world. He was not married and his mother was his only relative.
