Russian special troops seize Ukrainian corvette Ternopol
About 20 armed soldiers disembarked from the long boat that was blocking the ship in Sevastopol Bay on the evening of March 20.
The assault started immediately – flash-bang grenades and fire arms were used. No information about the way Ukrainian sailors defended themselves has been reported. The warrant officer of Ternopol managed to make a phone call and inform about the seizure of the ship, espreso.tv reported.
There is one more Ukrainian ship in the bay – Slavutich. Russian soldiers seized two Ukrainian ships in Streletskaya Bay in Crimea on March 20. The Ukrainian crew did not resist them and 200 sailors were banked.
