Russians do not sign oil transit tariff increase agreement
Russians have not signed the additional agreement on the oil transit tariff increase suggested by Belarus. The document has been sent back to Belarus, BelaPAN reports. Belarus has violated the existing tariff agreement, Transneft representative Igor Dyomin said.
The information about the tariff increase appeared on October 1. Transneft did not receive any inquiries either from Homeltransnafta Druzhba or from Polatsktransnafta Druzhba, Dyomin said. The Russian company reported the violation to the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service and threatened to sue Belarus. The Belarusian Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade made the decision. The tariffs will increase by 1.5 times on October 11. It is worth noting that Russia and Belarus have been unable to reach an agreement on gas prices for a long time.
