The newspaper of the President’s Administration SB. Belarus Today keeps pushing articles about the notorious “BelTA case”. Columnist Andrei Mukavozchyk has published his article today.

The author is indignant at the fact that there is Svetlana Alexievich’s tut.by intellectual club. This elite is self-appointed, he believes. Mukavozchyk willingly quotes Stalin twice to reveal ‘the impostors’: “Intellectuals are not a class, they are a service element. There is a group of intellectuals not involved in production – literary men and cultural workers. They believe that they are the salt of the earth, a commanding force that is above the civil classes.”

The offices of TUT.by, BelaPAN and some other editorial offices were searched in connection with ‘the BelTA case’. A number of journalists were detained on suspicion of illegal access to the paid news feed of the state information agency BelTA.
