Ukraine suspends anti-terror operation over Russia threat
The anti-terror operation in eastern Ukraine is suspended after Russia moves troops towards the border, Ukrainian media report.
The Ukrainian riot police liquidated three roadblocks in the outskirts of Sloviansk and killed seven militants on the morning of April 24. Then they retreated to their old positions.
According to the Ukrainian intelligence, the threat of Russian intervention to the Ukrainian territory has greatly increased – Russian troops are being gathered near the border. The Ukrainian government is reconsidering the plan of the anti-terrorist operation in the eastern oblasts in connection with it.
