Social Democratic Party collects 10K signatures to abolish parasites decree
Activists of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) have collected 10 thousand signatures for the abolition of the Presidential Decree #3 "On Prevention of Social Dependency."
This document is also known as the "Decree on Social Parasites." According to him, unemployed persons are required to pay a fee of 3.6 million rubles a year.
Centralized collection of signatures was conducted in 16 cities of Belarus. Most signatures were collected in the Brest and Mahiliou regions. The Social Democrats are convinced that the Decree is unconstitutional and should be repealed.
Under the effect of the Decree #3 primarily fall housewives, freelancers, unemployed who are not registered at employment centers, as well as citizens who work abroad less than six months.
About 250 people have agreed to pay the fee voluntarily.
