“Stalin’s personal archives” on the Internet – 100 thousand documents
The Federal Archive Agency has launched the website “Soviet Epoch Documents” today.
Over 400 thousand papers from Iosif Stalin’s personal fund and from the Soviet Communist Party archive are available there. It took five years to digitize the documents, RIA Novosti reports.
Iosif Stalin was the head of the Soviet Union from the 1920s until his death in 1953. He was responsible for the mass repressions that resulted in the death of millions of people.
