Strong wind leaves part of Minsk without electricity

Strong wind left the microdistricts Malinauka and South-West without electricity. The power went down after 6.30 p.m., local inhabitants said.

Minskenergo liquidated the problem, BELTA reports. Rescuers’ help was not needed, the ECM press service told Euroradio.

The blackout also caused transport problems. Trolleybuses stopped. The most difficult situation was near Yesenin Street.

The electricity supply was restored at about 8 p.m.
