Syarhei Parsyukevіch is released according to President’s decree
An entrepreneur Syarhei Parsyukevich was released according to a President’s decree. He informed journalists about it, reports BelaPAN. According to him, August 20 was supposed to be the first workday in the colony.
The colony administration summoned him early in the afternoon and told him to prepare for departure. The entrepreneur was told he had been released according to a President’s decree. However, it was not specified was decree it was.
Syarhei Parsyukevich thinks it could be a pardon decree. The Vitsebsk entrepreneur was sentenced to 2.5 years of imprisonment on April 23, 2008. He was accused of having beaten a guard (Alyaksandr Duluba) in Minsk confinement cell.
The accused was serving an administrative sentence for having taken part in an unauthorized entrepreneurs’ action in Minsk on January 10 there. Human rights activists announced Parsyukevich a political prisoner.
