Tatstsyana Karatkevich’s signature collector detained in Mahilyou
The police did not like the fact that he was collecting signatures under a white-red-white flag.
Alyaksandr Shautsou, member of Tatstsyana Karatkevcih’s initiative group, has been detained in Mahilyou. The BPF Party activist was collecting signatures for Tatstsyana Karatkevich under a white-red-white flag, Radio Liberty reports.
The policemen tried taking away the flag but Shautsou started defending the symbol. That is why he was detained.
100 thousand signatures have finally been collected, Karatkevich’s initiative group announced on August 14. Nevertheless, the collection of signatures will continue until August 21 inclusive.
