Tennis: Azaranka ingured again, withdraws from Toronto tournament
The Belarusian tennis player lost to Australia's Samantha Stosur 2:6, 3:6 in the Carlsbad tournament final last night.
Nevertheless, Victoria Azaranka returned to the second place of the WTA rankings today, having surpassed Russia's Maria Sharapova, who is now ranked 3rd. Azaranka has 8805 points, Sharapova - 8765, Serena Williams - 11245.
However, according to Pressball, the Belarusian tennis player withdrew from Toronto tournament (prize fund - $ 2 million 369 thousand) due tot he repeated back injury. Carlsbad tournament was Victoria's first one after recovery - she had been injured at Wimbledon.
