Tennis: Azarenka confirms will play against Russia at Federation Cup in Moscow

World No 5 Victoria Azarenka wrote in her Twitter microblog that she will join Team Belarus against Russia for the Federation Cup clashes in Moscow.

"I would like to officially confirm my participation in the Federation Cup in Moscow this coming weekend! I hope to see as many of our fans as possible," the Belarus tennis star wrote.

In February, Azarenka was not with the team when Belarus played against Canada . However, Belarusian women beat Canadians and advanced into the play-off stage of Federation Cup for the first time in history. The winner in the Belarus-Russia clash will advance into the quarter-finals of the tournament. The losing team will begin the year of 2017 in the 2nd World Group.

The matches between Belarus and Russia will be played on April 16-17 in Moscow.
