There are many plainclothes agents on the streets. They stop suspicious cars and search them right on the spot.

Activists and people traveling from the regions to Minsk are detained and taken to police custody.

The rally is scheduled to begin at 1400 near Academy of Sciences in Minsk. The rally is only allowed to proceed to a remote location but the organizers plan to march to the city center.
