UK demands that Russia gave Crimea back to Ukraine
Great Britain does not recognise the Crimean referendum and considers it fictitious, Minister Philip Hammond claimed.
Crimea by Russia. Russia should give Crimea back, British Foreign Minister Philip Hammond demanded.
"The illegal annexation of Crimea was a disgraceful violation of the international law. It neglected Ukraine’s right for sovereignty and territorial integrity and I vigorously condemn it,” RBK quotes Hammond.
Great Britain does not recognize the referendum in Crimea because it is considered to be fictitious, the Minister said. The inhabitants of the peninsula have been suffering from the violation of human rights ever since the annexation, he said. According to him, ‘the houses of Crimean Tatars have been raided over 100 times since the annexation’.
