Ukraine, Russia agree cease-fire near Donetsk airport
A cease-fire agreement was also reached between the Ukrainian troops and the rebels from the so-called Lugansk People's Republic.
The leaders of the joint Ukraine-Russia centre have reached an agreement to cease fire near Donetsk Airport, UNIAN reports referring to the Antiterrorist Operation press centre.
However, battles continue in the other spots.
The Ukrainian troops have reached a ceasefire agreement with representatives of the so-called Lugansk People’s Republic. The fire will be ceased on December 5 and the military equipment with be withdrawn from the area on December 6.
The agreements were part of Minsk agreement. Nevertheless, the provisions of the agreement between official Kiev and the so-called ‘people’s republics’ were not observed. Both sides accused one another of violating them.
