Ukraine's ambassador returns to Minsk after consultations
Ukraine's envoy to Belarus Mikhail Yezhel who left for consultations on March 25 is back in Minsk.
The Ambassador was recalled to Kiev after Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s statements. He called Crimea part of Russia at a press conference on March 23.
The Ukrainian MFA also sent a note to Belarus back then, BelaPAN reminds. It was noted that such statements made by the Belarusian President contradicted the norms of the international legislation and position of the majority of countries who had condemned Russia’s actions in Crimea.
The Belarusian MAF did not recall its Ambassador from Kiev because ‘there was no need to do it’.
