Ukraine crisis discussed at G7 summit
The G7 leaders met in Brussels on Wednesday evening, with the situation in Ukraine high on the agenda.
The Group of 7 should support Ukraine and urge Russia to look for a diplomatic solution to the conflict, British PM David Cameron said.
Russia will face new sanctions if it does not stop destabilizing the situation in East Ukraine, BBC quotes German chancellor Angela Merkel.
The G7 leaders are ready to impose new sanctions on the people and organizations threatening Ukraine’s sovereignty. They urged Moscow to negotiate with Kiev, pull back from the Ukrainian border and stop supporting militants in East Ukraine.
