Ukrainian from Debaltsevo: Russians wage war like Zhukov and Guderian
Ukrainian soldiers who have managed to leave the pocket are describing the details of the battle.
As of yesterday evening, about 2.5 thousand Ukrainian soldiers managed to leave the pocket in Debaltsevo (Donetsk Oblast). Up to 20 thousand militants and Russian soldiers tried assaulting the city, Ukraine claims. The number of Ukrainian soldiers fighting in Debaltesvo has not been reported. Dozens of people have been killed and hundreds have been wounded.
The soldiers who left Debaltsevo in trucks or on foot have described the details of the battles. One of them told Ukrainian Gromadske TV:
"Russians can be beaten but not the way we are doing it. We need military equipment, we need artillery for it. We need new equipment of high quality. They are using Zhukov and Guderian’s methods. It means that they gather a crowd of people and rush. This mass can be stopped by military machines".
SBU wants to bring UN peacemakers to Donets Basin. They should appear at the front line and block the parts of the Ukrainian-Russian border controlled by militants and used for weapon supplies, military equipment supplies and for bringing troops to the Ukrainian territory. By the way, Russia is still refuting it.
