Ukraine and Red Cross could not examine third ‘humanitarian convoy'
They were simply not allowed to approach the Russian ‘humanitarian convoy’ heading for Donets Basin.
Ukrainian consul general in Rostov-on-Don Vitali Maskalenka has announced it, censor.net.ua reports. They only checked the first 34 trucks. Then Ukrainian frontier guards and customs officers were blocked by Russians. Ukrainians were not even allowed to approach the second ‘humanitarian convoy’, he said.
Customs officers were waiting for the third convoy at the check-point Donetsk-Izvarin. However, it passed 200 kilometers away in the south. Thus, neither Ukrainians nor representatives of the Red Cross managed to examine the freight, Maskalenko claimed.
The third ‘humanitarian convoy’ was guarded, Ukrainian mass media report. It was delivering weapons for Donets Basin militants, some people think.
