Ukrainian border guards tried to filter potential Maidan protesters
Tourists with tents were considered as potential protesters and not allowed to enter Ukraine.
Ukrainian frontier guards did not allow potential Maidan protesters to enter Ukraine during the mass protest actions, deputy head of Pinsk border unit Syarhei Zhylinski told Varyag. A few Belarusians tried to cross the border in Verhni Tserebyashkou. However, they had to return to Belarus because they had tents in their luggage.
