Ukraine's MFA admits no one was raped in Maidan (document)
The information about the December 31 rape incident in Maidan square still remains on the website of Ukraine's foreign ministry.
Verkhovna Rada members, representatives of UDAR Valeri Patskan and Mykola Palamarchu asked the Minister of Internal Affairs to confirm or refute the information about a rape in Maidan, liga.net reports. The MFA confirmed that the distributed information was not true. A doctor examined “the victim” and found no traces of bodily injuries or a sexual intercourse.
The woman quarreled with some man but she was not attacked or raped, the police said. The 31-year-old-inhabitant of Chernigov Oblast has already withdrawn her complaint.
