Ukrainian troops reach Lugansk centre
Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Andrei Lysenko has reported the fact.
"Some of our units reached the centre of Lugansk on Monday. The battle is being given in the city streets now,” UNIAN quotes Lysenko.
By the way, Donbass battalion hoisted the Ukrainian flag in Ilovaiski, the last key position on the way to Donetsk, on Monday.
Meanwhile, Alexander Zakharchenko, so-called ‘PM of Donetsk People’s Republic’ told Russian mass media that he would negotiate with Kiev only after Ukraine recognizes the independence of DPR. The demands to lay down arms and close the Russian border are unacceptable, he noted.
