U.S. Senate’s military assistance to Ukraine: $300 million
President Barack Obama disagreed with the bill earlier.
The U.S. Senate has approved the idea of sending military assistance of $300 million to Ukraine. The assistance is included in the U.S. budget of the next year. Barack Obama disagreed with the bill earlier.
Ukraine may receive military equipment and weapons, antitank equipment, grenade launchers and drones. It is being done so that the Ukrainian Army could resist ‘the further aggression’, BBC reports.
Kiev may also get radars, radio stations and other electronic devices. Educational programmes for Ukrainian soldiers will also be provided.
The USA was going to render $200 million of assistance to Ukraine previously.
President Obama may veto the bill, some experts think.
