The representative of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus on defense and national security, the head of the Department of National Security Valery Sakhashchyk has commented on the possible participation of Belarus in Russia's war against Ukraine. He assessed the "current level of danger for Belarusians" in connection with possible military aggression from the territory of our country.

"We are closely monitoring the situation and are in contact with our partners in Ukraine," Sakhashchyk said. "Signs of an imminent aggression can be detected about 3-4 weeks before it starts, about which we will immediately inform the Belarusian society".

According to Valery Sakhashchyk, there are no such signs at the moment. At the same time, he notes that the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus "considers a possible escalation as a realistic scenario, but it has not happened yet".

On Monday, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya also issued a statement where she urged Belarusians to prepare "in case of danger".
