Young soldier dies from infection In Minsk
Ministry of Defence: deaths like that happen once in 10 years in Belarus.
As BELTA reports, soldier of the 120th Light Armored Brigade deployed in the capital has died as a result of meningococcal infection. On 2 August the man was taken to Chief Military Medical Clinical Centre of the Armed Forces, but despite all the medical care provided doctors were unable to save his life.
Investigation is under way over the death of the soldier. It was noted that it is "quite a rare case" for the Belarusian army. There has been only one such case in the last decade.
Defense Ministry expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and is providing it with necessary assistance.
