Yuliya Balykina’s body is found
The body of athlete Yuliya Balykina was found in a forest in Smalyavichy District, BELTA reports quoting the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The woman went missing on October 28 and nobody could find her. 300 soldiers were involved in the search every day. Her body, wrapped in cellophane and thoroughly covered with moss, was found near the village of Staryna, Smalyavichy District. Investigators, criminalists and forensic medical experts are working on the spot now.
Yuliya Balykina, 31, was a children’s coach at the sports association Dynama. She was a many times Belarus sprint champion and took part in the 2012 Olympic Games.
The woman went missing on October 28. Experts examined her flat and car and concluded that her disappearance was of criminal nature. Yuliya’s acquaintance was detained on suspicion of murder a few days later. He deliberately concealed the whereabouts of the body, policemen think.
