Yura Dzemidovich to sing “Magic Rabbit” in Belarusian
The words “Etis, atis, animatis” have remained in the song and “the magic rabbit” has turned into “charouny trusik”! A 13-year-old Minsk schoolboy Yura Dzemidivuch exploded the Runet and Bynet by his song “Magic Rabbit” at the beginning of June. Today the hit from the Belarusian children’s “Eurovision” selection tour can be found in many versions – played vice versa, sounding like a translation from Latin… The boy’s teacher Uladzimir Hlushakou has informed ERB that the official translation of the song into Belarusian has appeared recently.
Uladzіmіr Hlushakou: “We would like to make a translation into Belarusian. In fact, we have already made it!”
ERB: Can you tell whether the same words have remained in the song or not?
Uladzіmіr Hlushakou: “They have, but they have been translated into our mother tongue. “A magic rabbit is drawing a plus with a piece of chalk!” It will all remain and it will be wonderful and funny! I saw the text yesterday and I was very pleased. The title is like this “Charouny Trusik”. The word contains a kind of… typical Belarusian affection!”
Uladzіmіr Hlushakou has asked us not to disturb Yura Dzemidovich. According to him, the boy is not in Minsk now.
Uladzіmіr Hlushakou: “He is a very emotional boy. He should be taken care of. He has a zest. A real Belarusian! He looks like a Belarusian and his behaviour is… He is a bit mischievous and smart. He is wonderful!”.
Yura Dzemidovich’s teacher has also said that the boy is planning to sing “Magic Rabbit” in Ukrainian, English and German.
