Yury Rubtsou to be supervised for 2 years
The ex-political prisoner is trying to get a job but has not succeeded yet.
Ex-political prisoner Yury Rubtsou prepared all the documents required for registration in the criminal inspectorate of Homel Soviet District. He has been fingerprinted and got the necessary references from the district police officer. He will bring the documents to the criminal inspectorate tomorrow. The supervision will last for 2 years, the former political prisoner told BelaPAN.
Rubtsou will be able to travel for 30 days. If the trip lasts longer, he will have to report his whereabouts to the police. He should not commit any infringements.
The ex-political prisoner is trying to get a job but has not succeeded yet. He is also planning to improve his health: he had problems with his leg in prison.
Yury Rubtsou was imprisoned in open colony in October 2014. A new case was started against Rubtsou for sentence evasion in March 2015. The activist was arrested on April 6. Pryzhany District Court sentenced Rubtsou to two years of imprisonment on May 28.
He was pardoned by the President on August 22.
