Zhanna Brazouskaya’s case to be considered in court today
The administrative case of singer Zhanna Brazouskaya will be considered in Minsk October District Court on February 3. She is also known as Zhanna Znakava. The woman is accused of disobedience to the police. The trial started last week, witnesses were summoned to court and additional case papers were requested.
Zhanna Brazouskaya was stopped by strangers in plain clothes in a Minsk street on December 15. They pushed her inside a car without identification marks using physical force. She was delivered to October District Department of the Interior and a report about disobedience to the police was drawn up there. She is facing the fine of up to 50 base amounts or an administrative arrest now.
Brazouskaya asked to cancel the report because she considered it illegal. She complained about the policemen’s actions who had mistaken her for another person suspected of an offence.
