Zhyzneuski’s murder witness found in Kiev
Protester Taras Kobyalko was in Grushevski Street on January 22.
When Berkut retreated to their positions, a group of young men approached the barricade, Kobyalko told TSN. Belarusian Mihail Zhyzneuski was in the forefront. He was using a wooden shield to protect himself from rubber bullets. Suddenly the young men fell down. There was a hole in the shield – the shot was made from Berkut’s side, Taras Kobyalko said: “I am sure that they did it.”
Mihail Zhyzneuski did not live four days till his 26th birthday. Kiev parted with him as with a hero. The Belarusian was buried in Homel Province.
